Dave is passionate about providing what he considers the lost art of personalized service to our clients and attorneys. Too often the simple nuances of courtesy, respect and attention to detail are seemingly bygone characteristics. Working in the legal profession allows Dave to apply these talents where they are critically necessary and appreciated. Dave spends a lot of his creative time working on his house and land, as well as tending to his family’s four dogs. Each dog has his own story of rescue and every day he strives to provide them with the best life he can. Dave’s recreational activities tend to fall at either end of the spectrum, either quietly reading at home or performing hard labor on his land: fencing, mowing or the like. He has always been industrious, but as time passes he finds peace of mind spending quiet time with his wife in their library. In 1992, Dave dropped out of the Journalism program at The University of Texas when he was faced with little prospect of a profession in a collapsing newspaper market. At the time he did not consider the move to be entrepreneurial, until he was faced with mounting bills and college loans. It was then that Dave started his own construction company and began working as an independent contractor. Besides a successful career, the skills he was able to hone in the trades have provided Dave and his wife a custom home paid for in part with his sweat equity. Dave wants to build a complex on the back property to his house and rehabilitate abandoned dogs and farm animals. Nothing gives him pleasure more than providing for fragile lives that most have forsaken. Having always been suspect of the status quo, Dave prides himself on out-of-the-box thinking. Creativity is the root of this mentality. Sometimes a fresh perspective can inspire others as well. Dave Loy
